Soheir Fahmy in brief,
Journalist at El Ahram Film Critic and Egyptian Writer.
Co- founder of El Ahram Hebdo and was in charge of the Cultural and artistic sections, then promoted later to become deputy editor in chief.
Participated in several local and international festivals and conferences, among which, being member of the arbitration committees of the International critics week, the Egyptian international cinema festival and Ismailia International Film Festival for documentary and short films and also a jury member of the modern dance event.
Published several articles in film criticism in Arabic and French.
Translated into French and Arabic several literature and sociology Books, including "Love in Exile" by Bahaa Taher and "no one sleeps in Alexandria" by Ibrahim Abdel-Meguid. She also translated many historical and children's books.
A member of the Film Critics Association and the Journalists' Syndicate.

اسست مع أخرين جريدة الاهرام ابدو باللغة الفرنسية فى مؤسسة الاهرام وكانت مسئوله عن القسم الثقافى والفنى بها ثم اصبحت نائبا لرئيس التحرير.
شاركت فى عدة مهرجانات ومؤتمرات محلية ودولية وكانت عضو فى لجان تحكيم و عضوة فى لجنة مشاهدة أسبوع النقاد الدولية وفى مهرجان السينما الدولى المصرى وعضو فى لجنة مشاهدة مهرجان الاسماعلية الدولى للافلام الوثائقية و القصيرة فى عدة دورات و ايضا فى لجنة تحكيم دولية للرقص الحديث.
نشرت عدة مقالات فى النقد السينمائى باللغة العربية و الفرنسية.
ترجمت الى الفرنسية العربية و كتب فى الادب والأجتماع من بينها "الحب فى المنفى" لبهاء طاهر و" لا احد ينام فى الاسكندرية" لابراهيم عبد المجيد وترجمت ايضا كتبا الى العربية من بينها كتباً للأطفال وكتباُ تاريخيه
