Tunisian-born Mohamed Zran's early short film The Stone Breaker (1990) was screened at Cannes. His documentary The Song of the Millenium earned him Tribeca's prize as best new documentary filmmaker in 2003, and his feature The Prince (2004) was nominated for an award at the Cairo Film Festival; other work has been showcased on ARTE and at the Berlinale.
