I was born in Angola (southwest Africa) and lived in Portugal for 14 years, before moving to New York to pursue a career in acting.

I first started my career as a comedy actor in 2001 after winning a reality show in Portugal. There, I mostly worked in TV, but also some in theatre.

In 2008 I traded beautiful laid-back Lisbon for busy charismatic New York and I have since been working in film, TV and theatre in the U.S. and abroad.

I won an African Oscar for a performance as Cesar in Viva Riva (Best African Film at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards; winner of six African Oscars and official selection at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival and 2011 Berlin International Film Festival). You can catch Viva Riva on Netflix or VOD. Be ready for an adrenaline rush!

In addition to Viva Riva I have performed in director Hal Hartley's feature film Meanwhile, in ABC series Pan Am and more recently in upcoming feature film In The Morning by director Nefertite Nguvu.

I have a diverse and unique cultural background together with fluency in various languages, a distinguished classic demeanor parallel to Morgan Freeman's and an insatiable appetite for learning.

Keep an eye out on my work. I want you to be my partner on the ride to success! Check periodically for news and updates on "Updates" and let's head to the top of the world.

Love & Success,

Hoji
