We are a visual media training organization that provides high quality Tanzanian based training and capacity building, integrating East African culture with a modern media format. Get Real Training contributes to an improved visual media production infrastructure in Tanzania by building professional capacities in the field of documentary, awareness films and TV productions.

GRT is the brainchild of Irene Dundas Nilsen-Moe, a TV/Film Editor, and Real2Reel Film Productions, a production company with expertise in producing promotional and educational films, and which has been active in Tanzania and East Africa for the past 12 years.

The purpose of GRT is to work towards democratizing access to quality training, facilities and equipment which meets current technological standards, for documentary and awareness films, and TV productions in Tanzania.
GRT aims to offer a thorough theoretical and practical introduction to visual media, with subjects like film history, film analysis and narrative composition to go hand-in-hand with basic technical skills training in all aspects of the production process. GRT endeavors to provide running courses that will be provided in-house, and seminars and exchange programs within partner institutions.

We offer:
- Basic Media Training for beginners
- Tailor made and specialized courses for media professionals
- Media Communication training for NGOs and organizations.

Get Real Training aims at establishing itself as a sustainable non-profit organisation that will be 60-70 % independent of funding but before we reach there GRT are in the need of financial support from both international and national donors, government grants, members and funds.

GRT also appreciates donations of equipment. We do the actual training in DV format so these days when HD is taking over please don´t let your old equipment dust in a corner.
