Sombre Nuit froide et Brillante is a fantastic opera which deals with redemption and forgiveness in a New York very stylised full of angels. A man, worried about the death of his mother and daughter, falls into a personal abyssal and looses the will to live. When death comes close, his angels intervene, and obtain a chance for a new life. Reminder of "Ailes du désir" of Wim Wenders and "It's a wonderful life" of Franck Capra, "Sombre Nuit et Brillante" reflects universal hope not to be alone at the darkest hours of our lives.
