Nació en el Líbano el 8 de septiembre de 1970.
Desde 1990 vive en Francia donde realizó sus estudios de Cine en la Universidad de Aix-en-Provence. En 1994 fue ayudante de dirección del cineasta francés Jean-Daniel Pollet, y de 1996 a 2004 del cineasta egipcio Youssef Chahine.
En la actualidad reside en Córcega donde su productora, Cined Production, trabaja en varios proyectos en desarrollo.
Chou Sar? (¿Qué sucedió?) es su primer largometraje.

De Gaulle Eid was born in Lebanon in 1970.
In 1990, he immigrated to France where he studied filmmaking at the University of Aix.
In 1994, he was assistant to the French filmmaker Jean-Daniel Pollet and from 1996 to 2004, to the acclaimed Egyptian director Youssef Chahine.
He currently lives in Corsica, where his film production company, Cined Production, has several feature film projects in development.
Chou Sar? (What Happened?) is his first feature film.

Nasce l'8 settembre 1970 in Libano. Nel 1990 si trasferisce in Francia dove compie studi di cinema all'Université D'Art et de Lettres d'Aix-en-Province. Nel 1994 diventa assistente di Jean-Daniel Pollet e dal 1996 al 2004 di Youssef Chahine. Negli anni successivi realizza molti cortometraggi e documentari. Nel 2003 fonda la sua società di produzione (Cined Production) che ha all'attivo diversi progetti.
