A farmer named Boubacar decides to stop being poor and to try his luck. He buys an old swaying Peugeot from a crafty West Indian from the village so he can turn it into a bush taxi. Its engine gives way but the farmer does not give up, he even gets more ingenious and tries to turn the engine into a flour mill. The financial issues of his family get worse and his wife has to prostitute herself, without him knowing, to provide for her couple and their two disabled daughters. Her husband will try to turn the tables once more and the engine will be turned into a barbecue that he will se to sell grilled corn on the sidewalk.
