Haiti, 1962. A man is brought back from the dead to be forcibly sent to the hell of the sugar plantations. 55 years later, at the prestigious Legion of Honour boarding school in Paris, a Haitian teenager tells her new friends about the secret that haunts her family. Little does she know that these mysteries will persuade one of them, in the throes of heartbreak, to commit the irreparable.
