Ahmed, un orphelin de 12 ans, est élevé par son grand père qui travaille comme cordonnier dans le village, les deux mènent une vie paisible. Lorsque Ahmed découvre que son grand-père est malade et qu'il lui faut une opération, sa vie est bouleversée.
