Swiss filmmaker and journalist.

Born in 1993 in Lausanne, Switzerland, from Rwandan mother and Guinean father. Before Mariama BALDÉ started working behind the camera, she was a film journalist for Swiss newspapers and magazines. She studied film at the École Cantonal d'Art de Lausanne (2014-18) in the class of Lionel Baier, Philippe Faucon and Alain Gomis. She earns her 2018 BA in Film from ECAL.
